Pick My Brain: ask an industry professional anything!

Are you in Year 12, doing a course at TAFE or uni, or thinking about returning to study? Would you like the chance to talk one-on-one with a professional in your field and ask them anything you want about the industry?

VTAC is looking for current and future students in Victoria to participate in a magazine feature called Pick My Brain. If chosen, you will be paired up with an industry professional so you can ask them all of your burning questions about what a typical day looks like, how much money you can expect to earn, and ways to get your foot in the door and start building a career.

Conversations will be recorded and published in a new magazine that VTAC will be publishing later this year.

We are looking for people from a range of backgrounds and with a variety of career plans, so whether you want to be a teacher, pilot, nurse, mechanic, beautician, entrepreneur or artist, we want to hear from you!

Interested? Send us an email with the subject line “I want to pick your brain” and tell us the following:

  • What and where are you currently studying?
  • If you are currently in Year 12 or returning to study, what are you planning to study next year?
  • What jobs are you interested in when you finish?
  • What are three questions you’d like to ask someone who has the kind of job you want?
  • Is there someone in particular whose brain you’d like to pick?

Email us at vtacmagazine@vtac.edu.au by Friday 18 March to register your interest!
