Assessments have now begun for GET (Graduate Entry Teaching) specialist teaching areas. You can view your assessment outcome by logging into your User Account, selecting ‘Course Application’ and scrolling down to ‘Educational history and assessments’.
The assessment determined by VTAC is advisory only. Assessments are determined using the specialist teaching area guidelines set by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
The listings of specialist areas in your VTAC account are not exhaustive. The assessed areas are determined by restricted factors such as areas applied for, availability of specialist teaching areas for the courses to which you have applied and whether you agreed to be considered for any other specialist teaching areas for courses.
For more information regarding specialist teaching areas you should read the Specialist Area Guidelines and the Guide to Assessing Secondary Teaching Methods on the VIT website. You are also welcome to call VTAC on 1300 364 133 if you have any queries.
